Chinlone is the traditional sport of Myanmar where a hand-woven rattan ball is kept floating up in the air by using ones feet, knees, and head.
This photo series is shot in Mae Sot, a small Thai border-town on the edge of Myanmar where many Burmese refugees and migrant workers live, work, and play. Like in chinlone, many of the people's living situations are usually up in the air; awaiting visa from a first world country or struggling to stay on the Thai side away from their home country of Myanmar.
